Understanding the 4 C’s

Selecting the perfect diamond begins with the 4 C’s: Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat weight. These are the global standards for evaluating a diamond’s quality and value.

Cut is often considered the most important, as it determines how light reflects through the stone to create that iconic sparkle.

Color measures the absence of tint, ranging from colorless to warm white.

Clarity assesses the unique natural "birthmarks" or inclusions within the stone. No inclusions or blemishes visible under 10x magnification.Internally Flawless (IF):
Inclusions are extremely difficult to see under 10x magnification.Very Slightly Included (VS1, VS2):
Slightly Included (SI1, SI2): Inclusions are noticeable under 10x magnification and may sometimes be visible to the naked eye.
Inclusions are obvious under 10x magnification and often affect transparency and brilliance; potentially visible to the naked eye.

Carat refers to the diamond's physical weight.

At House of Halo, we help you navigate these factors to find the perfect balance, ensuring you get a diamond that is not only breathtaking but offers the best value for your specific budget.
